Which color?
Did I waste an afternoon painting the grill, bumper and parking light bezels flat black? I can't decide if I like it but if I do keep it black I plan on doing some flat black stuff all over the truck to tie it all in together.
Here it is originally (white) [IMG][/IMG] And here it is flat black. [IMG][/IMG] So which would you go with? |

Re: Which color?
Personally I like the white better, but I think the black would grow on me. Do you have a different angle of it?

Re: Which color?
Naw, just got done and snapped a quick pic. But tomorrow i'm going to color in the recessed letters with red to match the pin stripping and install 2" lowering blocks in the rear and I will post some new pics of diffrent angles then. I do like it the more i look at it but we will see.

Re: Which color?
I like the black man, I'd give it two weeks at least just cause you are used to the white.

Re: Which color?
How about silver metallic ? Black or white are such a stark contrast, silver would give a little class.

Re: Which color?
don't throw anything at me - but I like the white. And, personally, I really think it would look even better with the stock white surround (and black background) added in also to the white grille/bumper.
since you're going 180 out from what it came as - I wonder what a black surround with white background would look like??? (Ok, probably like crap - at least the white background part - but I sure think at least a black surround would look good if you keep it black). And, keep in mind - you asked which I liked BETTER... that would be white - BUT, I do really like the black also - I think it turned out quite nice. And considering truck is custom with some striping, all is well. Nice job. |

Re: Which color?
If this was a Poll thread, I'd vote for white. Just a personal preference and because you asked.

Re: Which color?
think I like white better as well...to me the black kinda gives the perception of those new coated parts that are awaiting paint...it doesn't look bad, but I like the white better & agree that it compliments your pinstriping

Re: Which color?
I like they way it looked w/the white in the 1st pic. I liked the idea of the white parking light bezels also...very rarely do you see them in any other color than stock....looked great.

Re: Which color?
I did something a little different with my 66 gmc, I painted the grille medium fawn metalic (interior color) and I think it came out looking pretty good. But the most important thing is whether you like it. Not all of us. Kieth
