I posted this in the engine/drivetrain section also but this area gets more traffic and I need quick answers, thanks.

I'd figure yes but I thought I'd get your opinons, I'm looking at a Holley Q Jet replacement and what I've seen most of them are 650's, at least the one's I've seen.

A 650 should give you enough flow for a mildly modified 350. Alot of people tend to overcarbuerate their motors. More is not always better (unless of course you talking more cubic inches

I would think so. Back in the late sixties I had a 65 Corvette with factory 327/365. It was 11:1 (or slightly higher, depends on what book you look at), 2.02 intake, ran like a scalded cat, and I'm pretty sure the Holley was 600 cfm. Pulled strong to 6500 redline.... dang, wish I still had that car!

650 should suit you just fine unless you got a really weak compression engine. But even then i think you would notive a difference over a quadrajet. I see people putting 750's on stock 350's and it drives me bonkers!!!
