Newbie with a brake question
Hello to all. I am starting my first restoration; it is as my username suggests it is a 71 Cheyenne. I have a lot of questions, but for now let me start with something that's probably simple. My truck doesn't have a brake booster and I was thinking of adding one. Does the booster just install before the master cylinder? Or do I have do something to add it?

Re: Newbie with a brake question
The rod from the pedal to the booster is a different legnth than the rod from the pedal to the manual master cylinder. There are also some braces that help to keep the unit stable.I've seen lots without the braces but using the rod causes some problems. There should be a FAQ and you can use the search function to find better and more detailed info.

Re: Newbie with a brake question
Here is a pic that shows bracket and booster and one of the braces. As mentioned the rod lenghth is different for a booster. The easiest way is to buy a booster complete with rod from 67-72 truck.
