Re: LMC Truck
They have probably the best online catalog, at least in terms of searching it. Parts seem to be the same as you get anywhere else, and shipping is prompt. Never had a problem with them.

Re: LMC Truck
It all depends on what parts you're purchasing. Try sticking to the site vendors for most of the parts and doing a few searches for what you're looking for to ensure you're getting the best quality/deal you can. If I do order from the catalogs, I use the truck and car shop because their prices are a little cheaper and they are in Cali so I get them faster.

Re: LMC Truck
Also welcome aboard from Central Florida!
LMC has the best catalog as has been stated but their customer service is non-existant. I use them for the things I can't get anyware else. I buy a lot from ClassicParts.com and Classic Industries.

Re: LMC Truck
A lot of the parts for my Suburban was purchased from LMC, they do have a great catalog. BUT, I have gotten great service and parts from Brother's Truck Parts.

Re: LMC Truck
You need to get several catalogs & compare prices & coverage. LMC seems to be higher priced on many things but have a great selection of interior parts like carpeting & seat covers.

Re: LMC Truck
The only problem I had with them was quickly resolved with one call, no questions asked. I would consider using them again. Also, as others had suggested, look aroung. RockAuto.com has been pretty good to me too but you have to watch the shipping because they may ship from multiple wrehouses.
Oh yeah, Welcome from Va!

Re: LMC Truck
Somehow I found myself never using them. Nothing against them. After all I got Parts for my MG from Victoria British and my Datsun from Dragon something.. All the same company. But they never seem to run sales. I tend to believe most of thier parts are the same as Brothers, Classic Parts or Classic Industries, (Which often run sales) I almost bought rear stepside fenders from them but the price jumped $100 each the week before! I couldnt believe that increase. I try to get from Site guys like Classic Heartbeat or GMC Pauls. and shop the other three otherwise.

Re: LMC Truck
I heard too many "bad Customer service" stories.I did call once but it wasn't in the computer and the girl hadn't a clue what I was asking about.I use exclusively BB vendors and LPS. for stuff now.

Re: LMC Truck
My hood, fenders, bed side, front bed panel, tailgate, and many other misc parts came from LMC. No real problems so far. Also recommend Brothers Trucks.

Re: LMC Truck
Another vote for classic parts, i've ordered from them many times and the parts were on my doorstep in 1-2 days. I will probly be ordering a steering wheel from classic industries in the next couple of weeks and will let you guys know how that turns out, their shipping prices scare me though....YIKES! Joseph

Re: LMC Truck
I've bought a lot of stuff from them over the years and never had a problem. There again since there were no problems I never dealt with their customer service. I will continue to do business with them unless they do something to run me off.

Re: LMC Truck
Hey kray59 ... to the forum and from Ohio ... Agreed LMC has a great catalog and good parts. But...there are some Board Vendors such as GMCPauls and Classic Heartbeat that also have competitive prices. The one thing that vendors like Paul and WES brings is a full knowledge of these trucks and they will not steer you wrong. WES is easy to get a hold of and is very helpful. Best of luck.

Re: LMC Truck
LOL!! Have you SEEN my truck? $700!! Buy good deals to get it straight and once its better concentrate on quality! I do feel the urge to plug the vendors on the site though. I WILL buy parts from them and I have bought parts from private sellers on the forums with no complaints what so ever!

Re: LMC Truck
Glad to help. What kind of pistol did you trade for the truck? Sorry one of my other hobbies. Joseph

Re: LMC Truck
I have never ordered parts from Lmc but have many of their catalogs over the years.I have bought many original used parts from board members and have never had a problem. Also I have found that many of the board vendors are very knowledgeable, will only sell you what you need and stand behind their product.

Re: LMC Truck
I have never had a problem with LMC, but come to think of it, I have never had any problems with any of the vendors. So much competition, they all try hard to get their share and do a good job.
