What should this truck bring at auction.

It is selling on 11-2-13.

Looks not, but I am unsure of the value.

Opinions please.

You asked for unbiased just 'from what I can see in the pics' opinion. I'm thinking about $12,000 - $14,000 range. IMO the red wheels hurt it. If they were the factory argent silver color the truck would appeal to more buyers. If it were mine they'd be painted back silver, first thing. .. Just me.

i have to agree, 12K-15K easy , but the wheels OUCH!
throw some deep dish ralleys with beauty rings and center caps on there, would look good

The wheels would be changed ASAP. Also, would probably be loosing the wood bed rails.

I have not seen this in person yet, just in the pics.

I agree the red wheels don't work for this truck. Go back with the silver and add trim rings and it would attrack many more buyers. I think it my be worth $15k. With some of the stuff I have seen at auctions and depending on who shows up as a buyer...it could go for much more...but that would be over my limit...

I looked at the photos and made my decision before reading any other posts on here. I think it's worth around $15,000.

The red rims are so ugly I did not even notice they were ralleys.

What it should bring is whatever it has been appraised at for insurance. What it will bring is whatever the last winning bid is. There's way too many variables involved to get a ballpark number. That is a resto mod and if I had 20k that's what I would bid. The same truck chopped and tubbed with a blower and they'd have to pay me to take it, while I'm sure someone would pay 30k or more.

I like the red wheels...it looks to be a nicely done truck.

One thing I would do for sure, go look at it in person before you bid a penny...then decide what its worth to you.

I think that's the asking price at the dealer...OP said its being auctioned on 11-2.

Looks to me like the reserve was probably the price they have it listed at.Auctions are either to liquidate or just draw a lot of customers all at once (and hopefully get some crazy competition)

Or,do nothing for free and no time spent for it to look better than that! For the cost of a can of black spray paint they could just paint it in place and have a better result (if it needed paint). A nice truck doesn't need the undercarriage to be a focal point. (tacky,IMO)

It appears to be done right and nicely. I imagine they're auctioning it because they've realized it's not selling at their optimistic price. It's always hard to say how an auction will go,so I'm not even going to try. If the question was "How high should I go?",then I could offer something.
Anyone who wouldn't be interested in this nice truck based on the color of the wheels probably shouldn't own any old vehicle. If painting 4 wheels is that discouraging I can't imagine how they'd deal with anything else the truck may require.

Well the final bid was $23,500. The reserve was not met.

I was thinking it should go $18-$20
