Progress? 72 blazer pics

Ochre- 72 CST Blazer w/AC - last owner repainted it at some point red. Here is what it looked like when we bought it. Inner and outers rusted and dented- doors wouldn't open and rusted thru. Top decent shape, but hatch broke in two pieces.

Last week my husband Ken worked a few days and put in HEI, new plugs and wires, and also found out the motor is bad!! But took old parts off our blue blazer. New fenders, inner and outer, new doors, and put in a billet inner grill. Doesn't look better, but it IS better because it works (doors open and shut) and the parts that got put on it aren't rusty anymore.

Next on the list- new floorboards and rockers. He did our other blazer so he is getting good at these replacement panels!! He wants to paint this one himself and do all the body work.

Thanks for the pics! Good luck to you!

Someday I'll be able to have enough progress to document!

67cst- We have 3 blazers:
My 70 (avatar)
His 72 CST (one in the pic)
A 70 parts blazer behind the shop- all stripped now!
Those doors are the orig ones that were on my 70, we replaced them when the body work was done with NICE rust-free ones.
Ken worked all day on the engine to try to get it running right, but he says he thinks it has a "flat cam"- I love my blazer, but know NOTHING about engines so...I guess he is getting a new engine for his blazer. Thanks!
Diane

Lookin good Diane. Tell your husband good luck on the painting. He can do it...It's not all that hard. It's mostly sanding...Take Care, Greg...BTW...Let me know how the power window install went in your Blazer.
