Re: Look what I got!
Here are some more, and here is the original story behind this aquisition.
I was doing some electrical work for a family friend, and I noticed in her back yard behind the barn a 1971 Chevy. I asked her what she was going to do with it. Her husband had died 4 years ago, and he was trying to fix it up. She said he was driving it, and then got sick. She said the only problem he had withit was a slight transmission leak. I asked how much she wanted for it, she said, "For you, nothing" come get it. Let me know how much my electrical work bill is." This was a month ago. I completed the electrical work on Friday. I went up today after church to pull it out so the rollback can get it. It was surrounded by briars, very sharp briars. Anywho, I got it out and snapped some pictures. I intend to make it a daily driver for advertising Midlothian Electric Company, along with the 71 GMC utility body truck I got earlier this year. I can see how these can become addictive. And since I have been on this board, I have been seeing these trucks everywhere. I even see trucks that family members have sitting in thier yards, loaded with junk. I don't "need" any more trucks, but I want them. I got too much to do in 2008, I want it ready to drive in our local parade in October. This board keeps me motivated. I'll be asking some stupid questions, please be patient. The flatbed brought it to the house today. My father said he has not seen a truck "deluxe" like this before. He had a '67 which I lost, and a '72. It told him my plans and he seems excited.

Looks like it's running on organics. Very nice score. Best of luck with your project. Next thing you know you'll be hooked like the rest of us on this board.

Re: Look what I got!
They say "You can't have just one". I bought my first one 7 years ago and have had 5 since then. I still have 3 and my wife keeps saying one has to go. Yea right. They are paid for so why get rid of them. Nice trade you got there.
