New window channels installation??

I have a few questions on installlation of window channels on my 62.i removed the metal frame in the channel (thinking that they were part of the new assembly(before i ordered the replacement channels) and i have most of the retaining clips and the metal frame to put it back in but my questions are i had removed a long reatining frame and a shorter frame now where does each one go?

And my next question is do i just set the new window channel into the frame or do i glue it in?

And last of all do i simply glue the window channel into the back of the wing window frame or does the metal frame go into that slot also.

I have the truck across town so i am trying to save a trip on question #3.
I removed all of this several months and i don't remember what goes where.
Thanks!

Re: New window channels installation??

This is on a 4-5-6. Maybe it will help on a 62.

Talking Re: New window channels installation??

No Problem.
I just wish you can buy the whole 1960-1963 Chevy/GMC Truck Right/Left Vent Window Assembly. We are the runts of the litter.

Good timing to have the neighbor cutting the grass at the same time...lol
Thanks for posting the video

As far as the door latches mechanism, is that the correct way the latch rod should look? If so, I have mine reverse. I have it installed so the rod is more horizontal and not diagonal

6456 door latch parts are different than 60-63, so you probably have yours right..

Re: New window channels installation??

60-63 uses the same part for both doors
Not sure about the rod though, one side may be a tad longer to accomodate the diagonal positioning.
