My "new" 70 2WD Blazer!
I have wanted a 2WD Blaze since I was in High School and I finally got one! As luck would have it, I'm knee deep in my 67 C-30 project, but I still couldn't turn it down. I'll push it under the pole barn and start collecting parts. I have always dreamed of having one of these to build as a retro-SUV and take it on vacations and trips. I would much rather have this than any new SUV's. I have a '89 TPI 'Vette 350 and a 700R4 that now have a future home!
The front looks kinda funky because the PO took the front clip off to get the engine out and left it loose. It's unbelievably solid considering being in the weather 26 years. The rockers and the tailgate have a little rust, but the quarters are super straight and very solid. It has the original paint so at least I know what I'm dealing with. It had a 350 and still has the SM-465 tranny. I truly do not believe the top has ever been off. It is all manual with a bench seat. It was even radio delete. It needs a driver's fender, grille, bumper and tailgate , but the rest serviceable. The passenger door looks much worse than it is. Somebody sanded it, and never primed or painted it.

Thanks for the replies! This Blazer came with 2 tops. As I mentioned in another thread, I would like to convert the rougher of the 2 tops into a closed window panel top like the truck below. It would be nice to have variety, and 2 totally different looks. I would like a look like the black one below also.

Congratulations on a good buy. I guess my collection won't be complete until I get one too. Your panel idea is great.
