Well I was removing the gas tank from the my 67' and darn if that was the only thing that was holding the back of the cab up. Most people would just junk the cab. Not me, I'm one of those guys that doesn't have enough brain cells left and wants to try to fix this little problem.

My question, what is the mesurement from the rear cab mount to the roof? I currently have it braced up and some of the patch panels cut. I just need to know how high to make my roof, a poor mans body drop...

It might be kind of tough measuring it but I will give it a shot in the morning.

You could bolt the tank back in and then measure yours.

Damn, my tank is under the bed.....I wonder whats holdin the rear of the cab up? (YIKES!) I guess my thoughts are with Boog......bolt the tank back in , & go from there. I could measure mine, but it wont help.....the top has been "squashed " a tad

Booth,

I measured from the plate where the body mount bolt comes through the floor. From that plate to the top flange of the rear window opening is 40 1/4", and from that plate to the seam in the inner roof panel is.... 44 3/8". Hope you can use those.
