Small block Fuel pumps??

Is the only difference's in fuel pumps being the bottom inlet & outlet lines Orientation setups in which way they are pointing & is the threaded outlet all the same size. I am having a tuff time in finding a line setup that will work with my 1989 305 ci eng. from a Pont. Firebird. Most to all Catalogs only go up to 87/88 for trucks not cars. I know I am going to have to do some modification to the line closest to the carb ( its a Holley) thats a given there. any help or direction would be great, thanks.

My truck is a 68 C10 lwb coils all around

Not quite sure what you're wanting, but the fuel pump specific to your '68 with a SBC should work, unless you have altered the tank and lines. Newer pumps had 3 ports ( for emissions). As long as the cam in your '89 305 has a fuel pump lobe, factory pump for a '68 small block should work fine.

I am looking for a hard line coming from the fuel pump to the carb (Holley), at the end of hard line at carb I pretty much know it might need to be modified and the threaded end at fuel pump are the thread sizes all same 1/2 X 20 I think. I just want to get rid of the rubber line from pump to carb and get rid of the (emission outlet) for a much cleaner look. A 305 is still a small block with a fuel pump push rod just like all other SBC eng's so I guess since I have a machanical pump it does have a cam lobe that pushes the fuel pump rod. So is a SBC fuel pump a fuel pump is a fuel pump only with the exception of the (emission port). Am I making sense here?

I'm also not sure what you need but I just got this pump from Summit. The bottom is clockable so you can orient the in/out ports.

I can see were the clocking would come in handy but dont need to pay 2 X's what a stock pump cost, thanks anyway

Ok I think I get it. On my '67 the fuel line is 5/16" . on '80s sbc the fuel line was 3/8" . Are the fittings the same size for both????? I do not know,but if you can get that info , you should be able to buy the correct fuel line/or make one!!!

So I guess if I buy a fuel pump for a let say a 68 w/307 or 327 eng's and then I should be able to get a stock hard line for the 68 setup? I know at the carb the hard line will need to be modified for my Holley carb.

I bent my own 3/8" steel fuel lines from my mechanical pump to Holley carb.
