How hard would it be....
to swap out my eaton for a dana 70. I am looking at getting this rearend, http://spokane.craigslist.org/pts/1347805106.html I just want to know if it will be a pain or something that can be done fairly easy. thanks.

do you have coils?
If so, then you'll need to wld on trailing amr mounts and a panhard bar mount, then deal with the U joint issue. If you have leafs, then you MIGHT have to relocate/replace the spring mounts and then deal with the u joint. Then you'd need ford wheels, and you'll want to know the year and model of vehicle so you can get brake parts. The 3.73 gear is nice though. |

You wanna put a F**d rear end on a Chevy truck? All your teeth will fall out within the first mile! (and I don't mean the gear teeth either!)

its a dana rear... ford hasn't built a truck rear in years.
And when they did, it was better then the ones GM built. |

why? Crappy (no) gear selection, parts are next to impossible to locate, brake drums are junk yard only, brake parts are almost all gone...
The eaton is a disposible piece now. Once something goes bad, replace the whole unit. |
