Welcome to the board from Tennessee.

Good find for the price. The 350 isn't factory, it wasn't introduced until 69, but you got a smokin deal, especially since the newer axels have front disk brakes.

hell ya you got a good deal, if it runs and drives and its a 4x4 its usually worth 1000 bucks reguardless of how the body is, and that body doesnt look all that bad

You got a great deal. I am in northern Indiana, would have gladly driven to your area for what you paid. GMC Paul is in Rockville, and they have all kinds of parts for these trucks, and you can get almost anything else you need on this board also. If you change your mind about fixing let me know. Welcome another Hoosier to the board!

cool truck...it's nice that the disc brakes were swapped in for you.

your transfer case should be a Rockwell T-221, 2 speed, all gear drive.

any more pics?

You are right it is a 221 t-case>not sure about the ratio in the
axles but it seems higher than my 79 with3.73s The guy I bought
it from told me they were from a 85 I have had it a while>that's
why you didn't see it on ebay.A friend told me about the junk&
parts car section on ebay stuff seems to go cheaper there>I
guess not too many know about it.The guy said it's cheaper to
list a car there than the regular truck area. Thanks for the warm welcome this is a great site!!

I have another question, anybody know the color name and # for
this truck? It is on the glove box door but I can't read it, I can
make out something about red/white but no #'s Is in on the VIN
or a cowl tag,(is there a cowl tag)? It's kinda orangey/red.
Thanks

you might try autocolorlibrary.com, they have all the original paint codes listed, as well as a chip chart showing the colors.
