Blazer single and double walled tops
I made a post in the "paint and Body" section but since there isn't that much traffic there I thought I'd post it here too.
I think there may be enough interest in it to post it in both places. Here are some detailed pic's of both the single and double walled Blazer tops. Sorry but the pic of the single walled top shows the location of the braces but no measurements. They were the only pic's I could find in my assembly manual. single walled top Double walled top If you go here you can double click the pic's to get very large detailed pic's.You'll be able to read the writing on the diagrams. If you are not a member of Imagestation you will need to join to see the large pic's.It's free, easy and you don't have to download anything.Just enter a name and e-mail address and your in. Hope that helps some.

Not to steal your post but is there any pic's showing how to maybe access the bolt bosses in the double wall top???? Mine have broken off and fallen into the top. I do not want to step on any toes, the pic just reminded me of the question I had been wanting to ask.

The only way to fix broken nuts along the bedrail on a double wall is to cut an opening at the hatch end.You can then pull out the strip with the nuts tacked to it.
If it's just a case of 1 or 2 bolts you still need to cut the top to access the nuts. Bad news I know.

Here's a blow-up of that double walled strip that's along the bed rail.

If you cut the top to access the bolts how bad do you have to cut it? I have a dbl wall in good shape except half the bolts are stripped and/or spin when I try to bolt it on.

Word is just a 1.5"x1.5" hole at the hatch end. With a little work you should be able to slide the mounting strap out so it can be repaired.
I have a single walled top(thank god) and have not done the procedure myself. If you or anyone else tackles this fix remember to take pic's.
