Some Questions for a new '72 Cheyenne Owner
Hey Guys!
I'm a new member. Just got a 1972 Chevy Cheyenne with a SB 400 to keep some miles off the Z28(not an economical decision, I know! ), but there are a couple questions I had on the vehicle: 1. The fuel gauge is not working...any sites with good info on how to change it and add a new one? 2. My Dash lights are not working...where would the fuses be on the truck to change them? Any good sources of info on wiring and electrical for the truck? 3. My buddy has offered to give me some single-chamber flowmasters he had for his 89 5.0 Mustang....this is a dumb question, but could I put them on my truck? 4. What's an overall good place to get a lot of service information and repair guides? This is the first carbuerated motor I've ever had and I'd like to be able to have a good source to reference. Thanks again for any help!

#1 whats it reading????empty=wire off or broken
past full=bad ground IN MOST CASE'S.....ABOVE #2 check the connector on the back of the dash cluster.... may not be plugged in or incorrectly...may fix fuel gauge too. #3 depends on the pipe sizes....truck verses mufflers #4 right here .....just ask welcome from the RAGE |

hmm if your dashlights and your fuel guage isn't working I am willing to bet that you have a bad ground.
If you ever have any questions just post em on the site, there is no other good source of info for 67-72's other then here, there is tons of traffic and tons of knowledgeable people who have been in your situation I am sure of it

Of course, all the dash bulbs could just be burned out.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!
Found some good stuff on here so far...and the suggestions everyone gave me will keep me busy on the truck tomorrow during thanksgiving and away from annoying relatives!
