Need some help here please. I am trying to remove the adhesive residue on my cab left behind after removing a headliner and foam pad and some funky carpet like stuff on the kick panels. I have tried sanding, grinding, paint thinner, mineral spirits, fingernail polish remover,and WD-40. Nothing seems to be taking this stuff off. Anyone got any ideas??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Gasoline. Let it soak in, then scrape it off with a peice of plastic. Then use something to get rid of the gasoline. Just dont huff it or light it on fire

Hi Blazer Gal, welcome to the Board....
3M makes a $$ product, General Purpose Adhesive Remover, #08984. I too, was trying to remove old contact cement and had no luck, but this stuff started working right away. Took a couple of applications to get all the old cement off, but it did eventually work, (and didn't harm my new paint, either). Good Luck,

Don't use the heat gun after the gasoline though. I too have had good luck with the 3M stuff.

hi , I agree the 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover is good stuff . Just soak it down , let it set for a few , then use filler spreader and scrape off heavy. Works real well ....
