Ok Gang... Now that "PAPA J" (check out our build thread on this one) is for the most part completed my Daughter has decided she wants her own 67 Chevy Short Fleetside truck so off we go...

We started February of 2016 with locating a 1967 small window cab then over the last 16 month we have collected most of what we need for the complete front clip, cab, doors, grille, rolling chassis, Bed Floor, Engine and Transmission from "Haulin" (check out our build thread on this one)...

So after collecting alot of OEM stuff we have started by taking the front fenders, grille, grille inserts, and bed floor to Kansas Dry Stripping and have them prepped for epoxy primer...

Nest we will take the cab to the body shop and the dustless blaster will go the and blow the entire cab to bare metal and the body shop will put in the patch panels in and epoxy prime the entire cab inside outtop to bottom... I will then pick it up and bring it home and start working the body and rek2 primre it...

The Theme of this truck will follow "Papa J" in the old school hotrod theme... My Daughter want to do a Lavender/ white two tone with white diamond tuck interior to go along with her Dads truck... I know this sounds like my daughter is in her teens but she is 33 years old and mother of 4... LOL..

This will not be built over the top like Papa J but will be a VERY NICE driver that she won't be afraid of taking to some car shows...

Jump on board with us and ride along on this long drawn out process we will go through with this pickuppp Here are a few pictures of where we are starting...

Re: B bear

OK guys... We are on a roll... We dropped the cab, doors and hood off to the guy that is going to weld in all the holes in the floor along with installing the new inner and outer rockers and cab corners...

We brought the rest of it to our house and will get started on straightening out the bedsides so when the cab is done in a couple weeks we can start rolling on that where we can get it all in primer... Lots of work to be done on these bedsides as they are alot rougher than we thought before media blast... I know there is nothing like OEM parts but dang this is going to be alot of work... We are building this truck on a extreme limited budget so I HAVE to substitute labor for dollars...

Here is the bed slightly put together and sitting on the chassis...

Cool!!!
Doing just like I'd do it!
I've learned lessons on new sheet metal from my brothers Camaro.

Flat lavender two tones with flat white would be cool..........

Re: B bear

ok... No pictures but alot has been going on...

The Cab hood, and Bedsides are at a guys house getting all the inner and outer rockers a few other patches fixed on it and the bedsides somewhat straightened out...

I have the grille, and Fenders all worked over and ready for final fit and final block and paint...

The chassis is going to the frame shop Thursday to make sure it is good and square an the bumper mount area is correct... When it gets back my nephew will come down and rebuild the front end and install the 5 lug disc brakes also will flip the rear differential to the top of the leafs...

The Engine and trans I know are in great condition and just need the grime cleaned off and a fresh coat of paint... That will happen Saturday... I should have it all back under my roof a week from this Saturday... I will fit everything together as soon as it gets here then color will start flowing...

Re: B bear

Picking up the Engine Monday from having a little freshening up done to it... came out pretty good ... I had new Brass soft plugs installed so I painted it before they were done for that little detail...
