I want to get rid of the external filler tube on my 72 Blazer. I have seen a few Blazers with a newer filler door added to smooth out things. Anybody done this. How hard was it and does anybody sell a kit or do I need to cut one out of a newer truck. If you got any photos they would be appreciated. Thanks

Someone here
has done this on his Blazer. I would think a door from a newer donor truck would work. Wouldn't be that big of a deal for a good body man.

One suggestion someone made is to use a round door rather than square. That way you don't need to worry obout keeping it "squared" with the body lines.

I used a filler door from a 88 up truck that I cut out of a bed side I did at work. Door is from a 88 it has no goofy hanger for gas cap cause it won't work for me since I had to turn opening upside down to work on right side.

Hagen has a very nice small round one. It almost dissapears on the side of a truck.

Sorry it's Hagan. They almost always have an add in Street Rodder. Thier fuel doorl is not cheap, $115, but looks very nice. The add does not list a web site but the number is 775-885-1969.
