Some progress Made
I know I bug many of you about this, but I finished the seat & belt changeover. I took bench seat & shoulder belts from a 1990 C1500 and hooked them up. It was very simple really. I am not sure how the older year trucks are, but my 70 had the mounts already in the cab for the shoulder belts. It was just a matter of popping the plug and getting a bolt.
The seat is the same height as the old bench, but way more comfortable. I know the buckets from my 96 GMC 1500 would have also fit, but they add about an 1 1/2 hieght. Making it cramp at least to me. Here is a shot of what it looks like (so far). It'll all be coming out again for me to finish cleaning up and repainting the interrior. I put some shots and details of what I did on my web site in case others might need it. Here is the link directly to that page...But if it fubars, you can get there through my home page and click on interrior. SeatSwap Thanks for all your help. I riding good again. Just got to get that stopping part working again

I like that. Was it difficult to install the new seat and belts? I wish that I could find a seat like that around here. I need that color too! Is is a reclining bench or a solid back?

Really pretty easy on on aspects. Mine had most of the holes I needed for the belts. The center seat belts are held in place by the 1/2" screw bolts that held the retractors in the 90. the rest I bought new bolts.
The hardest part was doing this when it was 95, plus 95 humidity and sweating my backside off. I felt real luck finding a truck that had everything I wanted in the color I wanted and in real good shape.
