Re: Powerblock TV LS swap

Watching it again this morning...I like the way they heat up the frame and bend it out of the way to get the rite fit instead of cutting it....

Re: Powerblock TV LS swap

I used a 44 Gal 85 suburban tank and cut out the cross members of the suburban and installed them under the bed of my 71 4x4 and then used the stock suburban skid plate under it,,the tank sits up between the frame rails and looks factory,,love it and it works great! Also I blew the rivots out of the stock cross members to remove them and not cutting them in half so they can be re-used if someone wants them.

Re: Powerblock TV LS swap

It's amazing what you can do with a virtually unlimited budget, every tool known to man, and the time compression TV offers.

Still, it's nice to see these old trucks getting some attention.

Davemotohead, what year was the Suburban tank donor? How long is it front to back - I'm wondering if it would fit in a Blazer. I was hoping I could use the tank from my 87 Jimmy donor, but the filler is on the wrong side.

Re: Powerblock TV LS swap

Why do the people in PowerBlock all talk so weird?

Good vid though, and no commercials.

Re: Powerblock TV LS swap

Just use your handy dandy 2 post lift in your shop that has a janitor, industrial torch and air compressor set up and its a piece of cake! At least its not one of those builds (yet) where they just open up the magic sponsor wallet and money and parts flow like cheap beer. "It's just that easy!"
