Hmmm...I did just find a buyer for my tow truck. Deposit on it's way now. Eh,I dunno. I already promised my K2500 a new engine with that money. Maybe I'll have it haul me south on it's first road trip.

Re: Very nice 70 long bed in Atlanta area for sale.

Wow, clean truck and priced right. Heck I paid that much for mine and it wasn't as nice. Just the way I like 'em, stock on steelies.

There is a saying I heard once - you build your first house for someone else, you build your second house for yourself. I feel that way about these trucks now too....

If I had unlimited time, garage space and cash, (0 for 3 ain't bad) I would buy that truck, swap in a LS/4L60, Vintage Air and PS/PB and be driving that on a daily basis outside of salt season. But the irrational "sunk cost fallacy" keeps me from selling my current truck and starting over again...

Re: Very nice 70 long bed in Atlanta area for sale.

Gold costs more than this. The seller states it's not a $15,000 restored truck and it's not a $2,500 beater. Sounds right and priced right to me. Sounds like it had some typical rust, but better than some, for Georgia that was dealt with. If someone was going to bondo up and paint for a quick sale, why would they blow $800-900 on replacement parts (core support, battery tray, inner fenders, fenders, rockers, etc) that could have been bondoed?

Special K......you nailed it....Its priced spot on! I know this truck....if you look through the board its build thread is on here as I BUILT IT! Its owned by a friend now. The front clip was trashed from dents and the typical front lower fender rust and under battery tray rot. The bed was creased all the way down the side thus the replacement bed side. The tailgate was crushed so it took 3 beds to make 1 compliments of board member UNCLE. Since the truck was used as a shop truck there no need in painting the inside of the bed but it needed to be coated with something because it was three colors...Shop truck = bed liner. There was no major cab corner rot and it only required 1 rocker as the truck sat for 16 years leaning to ones side so all the water collected on the drivers side....thus (1 ) rocker. The only rust left in this truck is the door bottoms and we were not going to replace the doors for something that didn't need fixing to drive, use and enjoy daily.

So yes....this truck is GOLD for the price! Trust me..after owning and building over 100 of these I know what I am talking about.

Evidently the one pictured above? Too funny!!...this site never lets me down.

OK..I'm out...post away. Any serious folks out there that want a nice truck and aren't just trolling the site for something to do, reply to the Criags List ad. His name is Paul. Most of you locals have met him at our board get togethers when Rottenwood garage rolls in 4 or 5 vehicles deep..

I have absolutely nothing to gain...just helping my older neighbor who owns it .. That's how we roll around here. There are NO rules against it. I never used the word crashed. Here is a picture of how it looked when we brought it home. As for why I'm no longer a supporting member of this site after many many years...you just answered it.

Special K....good chatting with you again! Its been a while.

Who stole your puppy? There are talented people out there who are capable of repairing such issues, such as what has OBVIOUSLY occurred here on this truck. In fact, they enjoy it and it makes them happy people. It gives them something to feel good about so they can refrain from spewing nasty and negative crud onto other people's computer screens. This truck isn't $14,600,it's $4,600. Please show us a better deal since we so badly need help (He who knows it all knows nothing)

Can't we all just get along? Guys, cooler heads must prevail. This isn't the HAMB.

Again, I think it's a great truck and well-priced. 40+ years and all trucks have "history".

Thanks for posting.
