Hello
Has anyone installed one on their truck. Just picked one up and was looking for some tips. Found lots of pics but no install tricks. Thanks! |

Re: dakota digital vhx dash
I have the vhx dash in my suburban. I found the instructions quite good.
Just a lot of wiring so go slow. If you have any problems I will try to help. |

Re: dakota digital vhx dash
I have one as well, but I haven't gotten to the wiring part, the instructions are quite good though so don't see any real issues at this point. I will say that the Dakota digital VHX dash did not fit in my aftermarket bezel, but did fit well in my original bezel. The original dash fit into both. I really like the fact the wiring all goes to one box mounted almost anywhere under your dash, then one wire to the gauge panel.

Re: dakota digital vhx dash
I got from one of the vendors here on the board.
Thanks 65sub. Might have to take you up on the offer. Can you use the factory gas guage wiring or should I run new wires Thanks again |

Re: dakota digital vhx dash
We are building a '68 Chevelle and used VHX gauges for it. The instructions are great, just take your time. You can use your original fuel level sending unit.

Re: dakota digital vhx dash
I'm in the midst of installing one of these now. I put the box on the top of the inside of the dash with3m double sided tape...everything looks nice and the instructions are pretty straight foward so I don't anticipate any problems. There are senders that you have to run for the gauges but all LS swaps require this in our trucks. I don't particularly like wiring so I'm taking my time at it.
