Help with '78 High Beams

Ok, I made the bone head mistake of press the button on the floor with my foot and it turned the highs on and went to press it again and it doesn't give at all and now my high beams are stuck on. Went down and tried pulling it up with my hand, sprayed it with pb blaster and tried again, tried prying it up with a screw driver then thought maybe it was stuck up but couldn't managed to get it down either. Umm...any ideas on what i should do? Thanks for your time.

My trucks are "Car-Guy safe".......which pretty much means death trap in the hands of a normal civilian.

Time to get a new one. I had a similar problem. It's an easy fix. Go and get the switch from your parts store and it's 2 screws and a plug. Really one of the easiet things you can do.
