Quick question? Gas switch
Hey guys i am needing to know which way the switch goes on a stock setup with duel tanks?Front to back or Right to left???Thanx guys i am not getting any gas to this thing (72 4x4) it has been setting for a few years and i know the pump and carb are ok.I have taken the line off of the carb to check to see if i was getting gas and no luck there.I put 5 gallons of fresh gas just in and nothing is coming through the lines so i want to check and see if i have the switch right,i cant use the other tank right now as i dont have the neck or cap to fill it.Thanx guys for the help

To switch tanks in my Blazer, you turn it to point to the left. The fuel draws from the drivers side tank first and then the passenger side tank. Pointing straight forward is for the main tank. I don't know if the set up is the same as the pickups though.

Its possible that the selector valve is clogged up , not letting gas through.disconnect the line from the selector valve that supplies the pump. If no gas flows then its blocked there. If gas flows ,disconnect the line at the pump and get a compressor and blow air through the line from the selector valve part of the fuel line to the pump to check if its clear.
