V8 verses inline 6 transmission and transfer case

V8 verses inline 6

Message board please help.

I have located a sm465 and np205 for my 1972 K10 rebuild. These parts are from an inline 6 and I am running a 350 V8.... My question is... Will the trans and transfer case work? Is the gearing in the sm465 transmission the same?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Same same. If you have a 292 the flywheel will be the same as an SBC. Not so sure about the 250s.
