bezel replacement

Hi all,

I'm replacing an idiot light instrument panel with a gauge type and I have the wiring diagram and guide that tells me what wires to move where, but I am not smart enough to figure out how to get the wires out of the connector and switch them around. Can anyone please explain this to me. Do I need a special tool, do I need to cut and splice, or is there a way to just pull out the individual terminals and move them to their proper place on the connector?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Re: bezel replacement

Usualy there is a tiny tab on the metal pin itself. Sometimes you can use a straight paperclip and insert it from the front or back. Take a close look at the front of the connector and see if you find a small tab. I think there is a pic here somewhere. I know I saw a pic on the main connector under the hood(the thread was about HEI distributer install)

Typicaly there is a way.

Re: bezel replacement

Thanks, it took me destroying one but I found the little tab underneath that releases them.
