Flowmaster Super 44 or Super 10?

I have a 77 gmc swb and have a magnaflow muffler on there now but its not loud enough. I dont drive it that often, hardly ever but Im in the process of fixing it up and I want to get a really nice sounding agressive tone. Im not too concerned about cabin drone and I want to do a dual exhaust out both sides by the rear tires. Does anyone have either of these on thier trucks that has input on what these sound like? I heard sound clips on youtube but I really couldnt tell. I want my truck to sound agressive at idle and even more aggressive at full throttle.

Thanks!

if you want loud just get some small glass packs. flowmasters on stock engines sounds pretty bad IMHO. its a really unnatural sound. i dont know if you have to pass emissions in tacoma but if you do then i would shy away from the 44 even more. cats+ flowmaster 40/44 = fartcan honda sound

Re: Flowmaster Super 44 or Super 10?

Im in vancouver washington now and dont have to go through emissions. I was going to delete the cat and just run the dual exhaust. setup. The newer trucks on youtube sound good and I know they have cats. Ive heard good things about the super 44 but I dont want to get it wishing I could have gone louder. What kind of sound does a glass pack have?

those are shorter so the longer ones from advance will sound deeper with a little less pop i think

Re: Flowmaster Super 44 or Super 10?

If you want loud coupled with the unadulterated natural v8 sound go straight. I have no popping whatsoever. I'm about to put a 36 glasspack on to cut down on the volume.

Re: Flowmaster Super 44 or Super 10?

I had a super 44 on my tundra V-8 and it sounded amazing. It was dumped before the rear axle so there was a bit of cab drone but it was super loud. Most people would look twice at me trying to be sure that beefy noise was coming from me. haha.
