Power Brake Booster Install Questions

Hey guys,

I'm attempting to install a power brake booster off of an 88-98 truck. I have already purchased the firewall bracket from CaptainFab. My question is about attaching the the power booster rod to the brake pedal.

Do you guys have any experience with using this style brake booster?

Re: Power Brake Booster Install Questions

I have the booster and the master of an 89 on my 66. I cut the rod off the donor and threaded it along with threading the end of the 66 for the pedal end. Used a coupler nut and jam nuts to tie it together. I also redrilled the pedal 1" further down.

Re: Power Brake Booster Install Questions

You can accomplish this also be cutting both the booster pushrod and the original pushrod to the correct length and welding them together.
