transmission ID
I'm sure this is posted somewhere but I can't find it. How do I ID my tranny? Is there a way to tell if it is 350 or 400?

Re: transmission ID
Turbo 400 has Vac. Modulater mounted to the right side of the tranny facing your frame rail and the Turbo 350 has the Vac. Modulater mounted at the rear of the tranny on the right side near the tailhousing facing the back of the truck.

Re: transmission ID
No prob. Also if you want it to shift a little harder. You can take the Vac line off the modulater and take a small flat head scew drive put it into the modulater (where the hose slides onto.)and turn the screw in and it will make the tranny shift harder.Just dont turn it all the way in.We use to go about 1 full turn sometime 1 1/4 of a turn.

Re: transmission ID
this tranny already shifts pretty hard! see the "76 k10 project" thread! do you see any use for the shift kits by b&m from an offroaders POV? I'm trying to decide if I should rebuild this one or buy a rebuilt one. I have absolutely no tranny experience.
