Pedal Style E-brake?
Has anyone done a newer pedal style E-brake conversion? If so how hard was it and what year did it come off of?

Re: Pedal Style E-brake?
The foot pedal brake started in 69. They really don't fit in a 67/68. You have to modify the firewall to use it in the early truck or modify the E-brake pedal assembly.

Re: Pedal Style E-brake?
I haven't done it in a truck but there are quite a few GM cars that have a small style e-brake. Check out some junk yards and look for FWD cars

Re: Pedal Style E-brake?
I went from a pedal style e-brake, on a 71 cab to a lever type e brake. I wanted a org 68 looking cab . Just cut the top left corner of the fire wall out, and put a 69 or later section in its place. A little work, but can be done.

They have a billet assembly that looks pretty good. It isn't cheap however. |

I have considered doing that to my '71 just so I could change the position of my pedal style e-brake (and I want the midnight series pedals from Lokar ). If you could get it positioned right - kick panel speakers would be a snap. Welcome to the board nic. |
