Car shredder video on YouTube
I ran across some really amazing videos on YouTube of an industrial shredder, that shreds iron like a paper shredder. The first link is them feeding engine blocks into it, and the second link is the thing eating a Dodge Daytona from the 80's. The blocks shatter like glass.
If the links dont work, just go to YouTube and search for "SSI Shredder". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JUBBEhrvfc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZDngpTmpzQ

Re: Car shredder video on YouTube
That's a Texas shredder that they ran the car through. The first one I saw in action was in Waco, Tx. Normally they don't run the tires through the ones I have seen though. They eat cars and other metal items and sort the metal and waste material out on the other side.
http://www.texasshredder.com/aboutus.html It sure beats chopping up junkers with an ax to haul them to the scrap yard. |

Re: Car shredder video on YouTube
I jammed up our paper shredder at home a while back and it was bear to clean, bet they don't jam that monster up very often!
