Header Install
The previous owner gave me a set of flowtech headers (not shorties) with the truck. Not the top of the line but since I have a exhaust manifold crack that is growing they will do the job. The question I have is this. When In installing the headers do you have the exhaust pipe go all the way into the header or do you have to cut it?
I have never installed headers before so I have no idea what I need to do. Thanks in advance. |

Cut off pipe right at the header, and get a collector flange welded on.
A muffler shop should be able to connect your pipes to your headers for minimal cash, and it'll last longer and be way better than clamps and stuff. |

If you install the dead soft alluminum gaskets, you'll never have to replace them again...the paper junk (probably what came with them) will blow out in a couple weeks.
And if I say spend the money...it is most likely money well spent being I am so cheap. |
