85 c2500 suspension on a 66 frame?

So my buddy wants me to do his research. He has the chance to buy a 2wd 85 c2500 with power steering/power brakes (but no brake booster is on the truck)
it's a 14 bolt rear end and 8 lug truck... Used to be a diesel. But was converted to a 350. (And that's why the booster is gone)

So will the 85 goodies fit?
Also he wants to know if 16" hd rims of. A 04-07 Silverado would fit those axels?
thanks in advance

diesels did not use boosters for brakes as he diesel produces no no vacuum for the booster so they used a hydroboost setup instead
the 85 stuff will fit. capt fab makes the steering box adaptor and the mounting pads for the rear axle

Well it all depends if the rear is leaf or coil. His truck is also coil. So is there anyways to make a leaf spring rear into a coil spring reart?

you said his truck was coil and the c2500 is more than likely spring -right. I mentioned capt fab's rear mounting for coil springs. did I not? I just read the last sentence wrong as I was reading to make a rear spring rear(into).
I had already answered that question before

I always forget about chevs with their coil springs
look at the rar spring installation in the back of Jon's suburban

or you can use the spring setup from a gmc
capt fab's gives you the ability to mount the axle to a coil spring setup

Biggest task, getting the brackets. I searched the board and alot of guys have frame parts. The panhard bracket. The (2) Cross-member to Trailing Arm Brackets. The Cross-member bracket for relocating the rear shocks. These were all factory riveted brackets - I used all grade 8 bolts.

I was fortunate. I picked my Trailing Arms with Coils and Hardware up at a Swap Meet for a great price, again from a board member.

I am using the GMC 6 lug axle and we cut the old brackets off and cleaned the axle off. Welded on NEW axle saddle brackets from Early Classic (ECE). Price was $29.00 pair plus shipping.

I'm going with a Super Track Bar, again from ECE. Were doing a 5-6 inch drop using drop coils.

I've got a SWB Step Side Wood Bed, So access is easy. Trust me, it was not difficult. PM me and I'll give you my number if you have questions.

Good Luck
Harry
So would all his brackets just be swapped over to the 14 bolt? And cut the left spring stuff off?

And this

And you would be pretty much good to go.

Ah I was getting it backwards myself.

I can't find the hub bore Size anywhere.
Will 03-07 8 lugs fit on a 85 axle?
