Back up lights in "N"
When I put my truck in "D" the indicator is actually lined up between "N" & "D." I also don't get back up lights untill neutral which shows between "R" & "N". Anyone out there have a prescribed fix for that?
Thanks.

loosen up the steering column mounts under the dash and on the firewall and rotate the steering column till the pointer is in the right place

Or look for the slop in the shifter rods. If you look where the rod goes to the linkage on the bottom, you may find the hole to be egg shaped, and then the lever on the tranny its self may have worn fingers.

I seem to have this slop in my shifter as well.... any known fixes to this problem? Is this something to be concerned about?
