Do you have a resizing program? Save the picture in a special folder on your desktop. On the new thread or post reply towards the bottom there is a box that says attach file. Click on the browse button and open that folder from there and double click on the picture you want. It may give you an error about the size. Your going to have to make sure it is saved for the web as well as the right size.

That also might help

Go to www.irfanview.com and download their FREE software. It will allow you to reduce a pic to 642 (the required size) without any distortion and is super easy. Very nice program. JMHO.

Agree with what's been said...

file size no larger than 102,400 bytes for posting from your hard drive or floppy.

when you post, go to the bottom of the page where it says attach file.

click the browse button next to it and find the pic (try with a floppy first to make it easy to locate)

double click on the pic desired.....this will take you back to the post page...

click on the submit button and wait....shortly it will take you to the new post....

If the pic is too large it will tell you so.

If you want to post more pics to the same post, simply go to the bottom right hand corner and hit the post reply button and repeat the process....

Hope this helps..

Every time i reduce file size picture size gets smaller. I see some bigger pictures that are posted to this site, mine are always small
when i get it under 100kb, i have tried ifanview and photomax no luck. Explain what you do exactly to post biiger size picture when you post directly to this site.

There are two ways to post pics here:

#1 host them on this site, in which case you must reduce the file size which will reduce the image size.

#2 host them on another wite, and just link them to your post. I have opened an account at (free by the way) www.photobucket.com and then I simply link to the pic from the post by doing this:

Below your pics (on photobucket) there will be 3 different URL tags, copy the bottom tag that looks like this:

(IMG]http://img3.photobucket.com/albums/v13/moneyguru/redneck2.jpg[/IMG)

I changed two [ brackets to ( in order to fool the forum. .otherwise you would just see this pic twice. The url tag between the ('s tells the forum software where the pic is, and to display the pic, like below.

Doing it this way you will not be restricted in photo size.
