Well it was killing me so I decided to wipe the dust off her and take a couple snaps. I threw the new style chevy seats in there too but haven't bolted anything down...

I wish I had more time for this project... I have the full interior and weatherstriping for it also but not installed yet. I might be looking to sell this thing in the near future if I can't make the time to finish it off.
Any idea what its worth? Fresh bodywork (new rockers, front fenders, new rear driver fender with no cutout, smooth tailgate, rollpan, new front bumper) and paint PPG basecoat with 3 clearcaots in 2003 BMW Dark Steel Metalic, no bondo all trim mig welded shut and smoothed.

Full new interior: 2001 Chevy 60/40 seats with fold down consol, new molded carpet, entire truck weatherstriping kit, new wiring harness for under hood, new visors, new dash pad, new window cranks and door handles, new chrome peep mirrors, new 55' style chrome housing tail lights..

Motor is a rebuilt 307 (supposedly) I bought it from a guy that had it rebuilt from City Motors in Dallas, although the intake leaked water so I never fired it up. I bought a new edelbrock intake and a 600 cfm edel brock carb for it and new put it on.

Tranny is a TH-350 that doesn't leak and should work but I was going to go with a 700r4 anyway later.

Bought a set of 15 Chrome wheels also off a board member that has the LS1 in his truck sitting on Intro 20's and Bear brakes now.

Courious what you guys think this thing might be worth as is and also if I got all the interior put in and the truck drivable?
Any opinions welcome.... The paint and boby alone was 4 grand ouch!

The lighting makes the paint look like the 2002 GM Med. Meadowmist Brown like I painted mine with. Mine looks Dark Brown Mettalic in the sun. It can be seen on my web page listed in my signature. PPG paint also. Lookin good. Why ya wanna sell it when yer this close?

I would hate to sell it in all reality, but I have another car and I just can't afford both nor do I have the time... maybe I should just wait it out Id probably regreat it if I did sell it...

Back in the early 90's I had a 66 stepside. It was Pearl White
and IMO didnt look half as good as yours. Wasnt driving it
much and was talked into selling. I kick myself in the butt every
time I see one. Should have parked it in the shop and kept
it.
Guy I sold it to wrecked it about a month after I sold it.

Hey FirstGen...I kind a of know what your going through...I came close to selling my truck and I could never pull the trigger...My truck isn't close to being as nice as yours but someday I'll get the old truck fixed up...I think that the fact you asked this board for opinions might mean that deep inside you're not sure if you want to sell her...Like it has been said...What will it feel like watching someone else driving your truck?....or buying your truck and taking all the credit for your work that youve done to her?...or..Better yet what would it feel like if someone buys your truck and doesn't take care of her...I realize there are times when one has to sell a project due to circumstances beyond their control but if it's not a matter of life or death....Keep the truck...Besides where else can you go for support, praise, and admiration for such a fine truck as yours...as a matter of fact we like all trucks regarless of their shape or condition....except maybe F**d or D**g* trucks. HeHehe

Hey thanks for all the compliments and encouraging words. Just thinking of someone else driving my truck gets me pissed off so that alone will be a good thing to remember. Not to mention all the time and money that would be lost at this point!
I just wish I had time to wrap it all up. Hopefully this summer I can make time...

Another couple of things to consider:

Our trucks have gone beyond the point where they have lost their value...the styling has withstood the test of time and will only continue to grow in popularity. So, too, will the value of your truck continue to grow. You need to think of her as an investment...she'll be worth more a year from now, 5 years from now, even more 10 years from now. I'll bet that if you were to put it up for sale that you will sell it...it won't sit for long.

The other point is this...this is a hobby. And the definition of a hobby is the thing you go nuts over to keep from going nuts over the other things in your life. Sure, you can't devote as much time and money as you'd like...none of us can. And sometimes it may seem that not much is getting accomplished...but you can always grab a can of soda or a beer and go out and sit in her and listen to the radio and unwind a little bit, and think of the things you want to do when you have the opportunity. She's pretty to look at, just sitting there...kind of makes you want to wipe it off, maybe polish the chrome, check the oil, that kind of stuff. You know what I'm saying. It doesn't take much to get the old feelings started. What are you going to do if she's gone?

So relax...are our trucks ever really done? And, if they were, you'd probably have to go start another one...

But I am biased, I'd put the 383 in a Pinto before I'd pop the hood on a 3rd generation camaro...but that's me, most ppl get excited at teh sight of them.

I guess I just like a challenge. 99.999% of the third gen camaros were/are slow and ugly! I like to be different and I think they can be great looking with minimal work and fast quite easily ran (13.7 @ 103 with a little work on the POS 305). Not to mention that they are awesome for autocrossing with the many suspension mods available...

My goal would be to slap a fully forged 383 in her ( I just did a built 700r4) and make it nice and quite then add some spray (200).... I think it would make for a great sleaper!
