This was a one-time set and they had to redo them a 2nd time for rotor clearance.
Oops. I can't post pics. I clicked "attachments", but there must be more to it now. Any help would be appreciated.

did you have to buy those special 9/16 thread lugnuts that cost 60 dollars for a set?

ive got some Hd caps and they are currently held on with the metric nuts kinda started on the threads of the stud with the standard nuts holding the wheel down Previous owners handy work

and i would like to get some standard nuts with the threads on the outside but there going to cost 60 bucks from some place online.

Just curious as to what you had to do to put them caps on .

Hey Wes, how did those wheels fit on? I've got a set of 05 wheels just like those ones for my truck, need GMC center caps, and I've hear I'll have to get them machined for them to fit over my 14 bolt's full floater cap...

At least now I know I'm not the only one who calls those wheels "slots". Thats what I have on my '68 2500. These wheels used to be pretty popular when I was growing up and everyone back then called them slots. Real thick in the center and takes a long, shank type lug nut with a washer.

Does anyone knows the manufacturer, real name of the wheel, and if they had center caps?

All are great lookin wheels and trucks guys!

Thumbs up

Had a set of "slots" on a 70 Nova. They were made by a company called Ansen. Real thick centers and took a lug bolt about 1 1/2"-2" long. Hope this helps?

It does help Dan.

Pretty informative site

From what I can determine they were called Ansen Sprints, introduced in 1963, and they did have a center cap. I bet a set of those would cost a small fortune.
Couldn't find a website for Ansen Automotive so maybe a set of caps would be used and maybe even a collectors item??
From the pic it looks like the caps were attached with screws but my wheels have no holes for screws.

Now if I could just figure out how to get em all shiney again!

I'm running the stock steelies but had them powdercoated bright white. Hub caps are the GMC stainless versions. I think it looks pretty good and it was a lot cheaper. Powder coat has been on there for about 5 years now and still look great.

Took me years to put together a complete set of hub caps though. Chevy caps are everywhere GMCs seem to be a bit rare.
