WooHoo! the gas gauge works again
The old cab tank was pulled in faver of a Jazz fuel cell, & the 1st full tank of the season showed full on the guage the float had gone bad on my sender (for the stock tank), & I used a yardstick to measure gas for 3 or 4 seasons. That old truck sits a little lower in the @ss, & rides so much better with a load of fuel behind the rear axle.....I hope it helps the traction issues too. now to "dump the front a little more to get back that nice "Cali rake"....crazyL , rowin 6 & dreamin about paint

Welcome to the SFAFG club. (Stick For A Fuel Guage Club)
I used a four foot dowel rod to check mine. I finally had to repair the sender after my son used the dowel for a sword. (One time and then it was a couple of two foot dowel rods) |

It's always nice to have a working gas gauge till you see how fast it reaches empty.

That will be the scarey part ,Bill.....that old truck does like its fuel! I spose it could have something to do with my leadfoot tho... i guess i will have to do something eles with the yardstick now(I know i will miss checking the fuel the "old way")......maybe the kids can use it for a sword its funny, that what an oldman can use for yrs(for the wrong purpose).....a kid can tear up in 5 min ,using it for his own "wrong purpose" been there, & saw that with the 2 boys I raised......sometimes you are just laughing too damn hard to raise he!! with them. one thing for sure, what one kid coudnt "dream up", the other one sure could crazyL

I'm the same way just love it when a light turns yellow so I can hit the secondary's and watch the gas gauge move .

I'm with Dion, I listen for the slosh. When it starts getting quite, it's time to fuel up. Living out in the middle of nowhere, I tend to make sure it got fueled up quite often. LOL
