"Progress pics of the 68"

Well, the last time any of you saw my Stepside, it was totally multi-colored. Now it's just mostly multi-colored. I haven't had time to work on her much lately, but about a month ago, I started on the flat black primer. I got the passenger door, right rear fender, and tailgate done. I was pretty happy with how it was starting to look, until the "incident".

I was driving down the road (in the country), hit a dirt clod, and when it came up and struck the underside of the right rear fender, apparently it moved the fender out just enough to catch air, and it ripped the bolts out (the fenders were held on with bolts and nuts just big enough to keep them held on (thanks again previous owner)). Anywho, the fender flew off and tumbled into a ditch

I'm gonna post pics of the aftermath, as well as the fender now, and pics of the Edelbrock 750 I've put on, as well as the headers (thanks bigjimzll), and the exhaust (thanks racedvl). The fender looks "OK" now that I've got it cinched back up to the body (with larger bolts and large washers), and the truck runs like a dream with the 750...and sounds sweet with the new exhaust system.

*Note: Old Style was not involved in the "incident"*

i didnt know they still made old style, my dad used to be sponsored by them when he raced stock cars. Parents and teachers must have wondered why all my school books had old style stickers on them, lol.
