need opions, getting new mufflers friday
my 40's sound like crap, loose baffles I suspect, they're a few years old.
here's my question, I still want that aggressive muscle car sound but I don't want the truck to be too quiet but my 40's were a bit too loud so I'm thinking the 40 delta's or the 50 3 chamber series. anybody using either of these? what do you think of them? |

I've got the Delta 40's. They seem to be a little quieter than the regular 40's i have heard, but not much. Defenitly have a muscle-car tone to them, i love the way it sounds. 2.5" duals with turndowns infront of the rear axle.

I'm running the Delta 50's behind my big block. They are really mello until you stick your foot into it. Very conservative around town and then very agressive when you open it up! Overall, I'm very happy but they don't seem to have the same distinct sound that the 40's have. Go to Flowmaster.com and you might find a .wav file of what they may sound like.
Good luck, let us know what you end up going with.

thanks guys. I checked out flowmaster.com and exhaustsounds.com. I know a couple of guys who have the 50's and they told me they're a little too quiet for their taste. I want to end up somewhere in the middle, not too quiet but not too loud.
