Tire size with 4" lift?
I've got an 84 K20 that I'd love to put a lift on. I'm leaning towards a 4" suspension lift from BDS. My question is, would that be enough to clear 35x12.50's? From what I've read they would work, but under full articulation or very sharp turn they would rub. Anyone running this setup? Input would be greatly appreciated.
PS - I was thinking of doing a 6" lift, but I don't have the extra cash to spend right now on brake line extensions & probably driveshaft lengthening.

35's will work, but they are tight. If you are just poundin the pavement, then you shouldnt have a problem unless you have a sharp turn or a good bump. You can do a little bit of hack an bash on the fender corners and it should clear just fine. But if you use it offraod, you will have fender contact for sure. I run 33" tires, an I still rub fenders, with the sway bar connected. Just so you know.

Thanks for the info! I went ahead and ordered a 4" lift tonight. Decided on the Tuff Country brand since I got a good deal on it. I figure the tires can come later... and if need be, I can put a 2-3" body lift on to clear the 35" tires for off-roading. I can't wait for the FedEx man!!

personally, im going with 6" of lift and 38-40" tires.

I have 33x12.5's on my 4" lifted 85 and have NO fender contact at full flex and turned with NO swaybar, their also on 15x8" wheels with 3 3/4" BS I believe, 35s would rub for sure, without the swaybar I can stuff the 33 in further than when it was stock and 31s and a 35 would rub when sitting stock just by turning the wheel, it liked to catch the very bottoms of the fender, the back should be ok with 35's though.
