72 Blazer for sale

This is a tough post to make. I bought this blazer in Jan. from bad4x4 and regretfully am putting it up for sale. We are in need a a new family car and financing is getting sticky. We borrowed against our home for this beauty but I guess I can't have it all, we need this cash for family car now. Don't even suggest that wife drive this, we already went there. We need SUV for highway and town driving for whole family.

72 blazer, stock, 103K orignial miles, factory AC that works, new exhaust red/orange with white top. Still has 4" lift but stock springs & shocks come with it. Will include real truck tilt column and black steering wheel not installed (not for sale seperately) No rust or body damage. $9450. Truck located in Oregon. Our loss your gain. Some of you may remember this truck. I've never seen one in nicer condition unrestored.

email inquires to me at cheyennek20@comcast.net

Didn't bad4x4 intall a lift & bigger tires? I take it this photo is pre-lift?

Would you consider any trades?

Can you send more pictures to my e-mail address at chris@imageink.com. Thanks.

yes

Yes he installed lift and 35" tires. With 3.08 gears i pulled tires/wheels and put stock back on. It still has lift. I was going to add 31" or 32" tires and see how lift looked before lift mods. I will get pick as it is now. I haven't driven it much, was waiting for good weather. (use as sunny day driver for now) It handled well but 35" tires weren't for me. It still drives like a dream. I've seen a lot of trucks but until you get into high dollar restorations it is unbeatable. It deserves more that I can support.

Is it worthy of being a daily driver? Does the price include the 35's & rally wheels?

very worthy

No BFG's left, I ended up selling them. Ralleys have been dedicated to another truck, if someone was serious I would listen!! The tires on it though are a nice Les Schwab 235/85/16 radials with rare GM stock 16" steel wheels and very nice stock blue bowtie caps. Fronts as-new rears about 60-70%. This setup looks very good also. My belief is to run 33-35" tires one needs to go to a 3.73 or 4.10 gear ratio. The stock 3.08 gears are not enough for daily larger driven tires, the RPM range is not correct. When I bought this truck I was headed towards the "stock as a rock" theory but lift does look nice and ride well. I think with 32" tires it might be perfect. These tires now are stock width and with ralleys and 32x11.50x15 tires they would be good to go with current lift.

The paint on the inside of this truck is like new, the exterior is in great shape for age also. This truck was bought new in John Day, Oregon (about 10" of rain/yr in remote small eastern Oregon town) and lived in a carport most of its life and it shows. Its very tight and runs excellent.

I had to go see if for myself and couldn't believe it at first. I've seen these trucks for 37 years and remember many. Haven't seen one this nice since about 1976.

Would you trade for a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 Clubcab 2wd with 56k miles? Sport package with the painted bumpers etc., 5.2liter (318) auto, metallic blue, alloy wheels/new tires. My kids (12 & 8) fit in the back seat with no complaints and the wife likes to drive it more than her Amigo. Probably just a pipe dream but I had to ask!!

Not interested in trade

No we wouldn't be interested in that trade, basically any trade would have to be resold to cash out current loan. Nice looking truck but we are looking for new SUV/van type rig.

Thanks for the interest.

Make a serious offer. I can remove tilt and these tires and wheels from the deal.

As others have said maybe this belongs on ebay.

Bob... Sorry to see you selling the Blazer! I say sell the wifes Explorer and finish the Suburban. With the money saved on not buying NEW, you can buy a few gallons of gas. Best of luck to ya... Cruiser

Got them all! Excellent! I'm going to show my wife how nice this rig is and how it will need so much less work than my current blazer. I showed her the pictures last night in this thread and she was quite receptive to the idea.

I'm working on it. It is just a matter of where the $ are coming from... I'd have to sell my current '69 and maybe my daily ('97 Civic). I've been looking at newer Tahoes, etc, but I just can't justify paying $30K plus for a SUV that is only going down in value.
