it is the stock guages and i just took it apart and repainted the black...and i bought that $20 white guage overlay kit from either here or ebay....i think it looks pretty good.The only way i was able to do this on such a small amount of money was to buy as much used stuff as i could find....that was worth a s**t

the ac is all there but the compressor is locked up,so ill need that to get it going first.I did every single thing to this truck myself except one thing....that was install 2 new mufflers and the muffler shop did that.I put all new brakes,added power brakes,new shocks...i painted it and did all of the body work too.I wanted to be able to tell anyone that asked, "i did that"

Bryan....i painted it myself.I have painted once or twice before.This time i went with everything that i was told not to.I used a gravity feed hvlp gun from homedepot ($75) i had a pretty small compressor and i used Omni SS paint....and i think it turned out ok.I had a run or two but it wasnt too bad....thanks for all the compliments guys.I have worked pretty hard on this thing

here is another nice one....
i know my wife is sure glad im through with it :p btw,that gas guage is wrong.I took the needle off to put on the white overlay and didnt get it back on in the right spot.How do i know this?Cause earlier this afternoon as i was about to take these photos,it ran out of gas in my driveway

Mike, now thats my kind of a resto!!!!!!! I know guys can put tons of $$$ in a ride and thats fine. But with work and smart shoppin' a little can go a long way. I log every thing I buy,trade or get '' free'' every month. My plan was 5 grand over 5 yrs, I'm a year ahead and got $ 3.500.00 spent. 500-800 will finish it. Man I'm proud of ya!!!!!!!
