Blazer tank under truck bed???????

I am considering putting a poly blazer tank under the bed of my truck. What modifications do you have to make for this to work and fit properly? I would also like to see pics of this.
Thanks

The toughest part is the filler neck issue. I went to a Marine Supply and bought one and mounted it in the wheel well. Works fine for me. Sorry, I don't have digital camera. Some people have complained about poly tanks, but I haven't had a problem with mine in the 1 and a half years I've had it in.

I installed my tank this weekend.

To get it to tuck under the frame right I sectioned out the bed's rear crossmember 2 inches (steel floor) and welded a piece of steel in it's place for strength. I also bolted it up on the rearmost holes (had to drill 2 and grind off the tabs that 'locate' the factory blazer unit, mine is a metal tank) Looks great, just need to finish it up this weekeknd coming up.

I have not yet run a filler location or tube yet, so sorry I can't help you there.

Also, if this marine filler has a steel neck, one could possibly weld a reduced cone flange to it so you could pop a 1.25 inch hose on it? Just a thought, I will be going through this same problem very soon.

I brazed a copper elbow onto my marine filler. It was the correct sizes on each end and got it going in the right direction.

67 CST, I had the same problem with the hose ends. I made a spacer over the smaller end out of hose and then clamped it all together. hasn't been a problem.

I have a filler neck from an 80's model saddle tank. I have it mounted under the drivers side fender.(stepside) It works real well.

here are a few picks of what I did. Used the poly tank from LMC. And a subaru filler neck. Fill location is behind the blinker. I had a louvers punched in the protective plate as moisture was collecting in it. I also had it powered coated. Total cost of everything......$450.00
