Question vin help

i found a guy that was 17 the other day and he didn't realize what he had.
He says that he's got a 68 short bed chevy.
it's an air cab
auto w/ v8

but here's were the wierd stuff falls into play

it has a 71-2 front end, leaf rearend, wood floor.

and here's the vin i don't understand it. I'm tinking GMC???
help me out

I too think it's a GMC.

68 gmc 8 cyl 1/2 ton there... use GMCPauls decoding page for that type.
