Problem with Rad. supports....HELP

I removed my radiator and installed new mounts (rubber) and new upper rad. supports. The mounts are the right width but the radiator now sits up about a half in. higher than it was and I can't fasten the upper supports down without the other end sticking up. Is there a trick or are the new mounts just too thick?????

are they direct replacements? if so they will have a nipple that fits into a hole in bracket. if these are not installed correctly it would raise the rad about 1/2 in.
