Thank you google! I've been looking for a site like this for a while. Help is needed!

I replaced the steering column because the tilting was loose (pain to drive) which was donated from a junker 85 or 86. Not sure.

After plugging everything up, It startup and all lights, horn, blinkers, wipers and everything works. Except for the radio, heater, and power windows. I cant figure thus out, Everything looks right. I check fuses............they we fine. Any ideas?

That'd be the switch at the base of your steering column

Put the one from the old column onto the new one, and it should be good to go again

Could you be more specific as to what this switch is. I mean, I pulled the iginition switch, blinker switch, and wiper delay. There is also a thin back connector that goes from the column to the wiring harness as well. This is plugged in too. I'm beginning to think that this column came out of a truck without power windows. Could this be the case? Do you have a pick of what this switch should look like. That would be AWSOME. Thanks for the reply.

Are there differences in the ignition switch from power to manual windows? Everything buttoned up fine which is why this is weird, also all documentation I read referes to the switch being compatibile between years with the exception of the tilt, which both columns have.

Ok Ok Ok. Found it. Thanks to Russel for the tip. It was the ignition switch. Only becasue when I inserted the connector, one of the pins on the switch bent down . After adjusting it and reinstalling, it all work fine.

IF I EVER HAVE TO MESS WITH ONE OF THESE AGAIN IT WILL BE TOO SOON.

No problem. Glad its done too. It really sucked when I got to work only to find out the Windows would budge and with the forcast showing heavy showers late morning........
