Big meats on stock rims...
I was wondering... whats the biggest tires I could place on my stock rims, stock height. I have a 2wd `70 C-10 Long bed w/air shocks in rear... my current tires a in dire need of replacement & I would like to toughen the look up a bit. thanks!

I seen a post yesterday where a guy fit ~345/15s. I just bought some 295/50s and they struggled to mount them on my 8" rim, but it can be done. They fit prefectly fine.

I have found that a 255/70/15 fits an 8" wheel & leaves a perfect 8" wide footprint when the clutch comes up
 as a rule, if you look at the tread width, it should be really close to the width of the rim(to get full use of the rubber you are running).....crazyL

My 295/15s are giving me a full tire patch ln a spin. They are a good fit for an 8" rim.

My 31x10.5's leave a pretty decent patch when aired down but i dunno if thats look your goin for.

OK, I put 31x10.5`s`s in the front, 33x10.5`s in the back, BFgoodrich All-terrain T/A`s, rides mighty nice, looks pretty mean, too...
