Dual Exhaust Ideas?- Pics
Hello everyone,
I know this is a subject that comes up from time to time, but I am going to start it again. Lets see some pics of your dual exhaust routing. I am hopefully going to do my exhaust on the blazer soon and want some ideas. I am thinking of running the exhaust off the sides behind the rear tires. Would like to have it as tucked up as much as possible. Need some ideas. Thanks, Jason

I run 2.5" Corvette ram horns connected to 2.5" aluminized exhaust tubing.
Dual Dynomax Super-Turbo mufflers. The exhaust exits behind each rear wheel. Oh ya,I also run an "H" pipe just behind the transfer-case. Here are some pic's. The muffler the Corvette ram-horn cross section of the tubing the "H" pipe looking towards the rear how they exit The whole system has a low, deep tone to it but really screams when you get on it

Any one have any more pics of this system. This is kind of what I had in mind. Where are the bends made at the back to angle the pipe down?
Thanks.

I'm currently running mine out the side in front of the tires. IMO with a stepside it flows better. No pun intended.

I'm Doing Mine Like Time Travel, And For Tips I'm Using Aftermarket
Chrome (or Stainless) Camaro Replacement Tips, They Are Flat And Rectangular So They Will Tuck Up To The Body Like Nascar Exhaust. (About 1-1/2 inches high ( maybe 2 ) and about 5 or 6 inches wide ) Now that I think about it, they are 2 x 6 because that translates 3" round if you were using the standard type of exhaust tips most use.

Mines done similar to Geasemonkey's except they go in instead of along the frame. They also have a H-pipe up front. Nice setup.

wes, those x-pipes actually connect and there is an opening between the two pipes right? what is the advantage over an h-pipe or is it just about the same?

Yes they do connect and yes there is an opening between them. The advantage of the "X" pipe over the "H" pipe it's the ability to scavenge is better. The "H" pipe tends to creat turbulance at higher RPM due to the fact it causes the gasses between the two sides to flow perpendicular to the natural flow of the exhaust. The "X" pipe however keeps everything flowing in the same direction, increasing it's abillity to scavenge. Especially at higher RPMs. WES

Fast71 - Thanks a lot for the pics, I was really hoping some would pop up. I was considering your set up, but wondering if you could see the pipes through the wheelwells when looking at the side of the truck. I like the short turn down out the side. Its clean looking.
Racedvl - You got me thinking too I really like your set up also. I am going to have to take a look at the truck and see if I could do that without my gas tank and hidden hitch getting in the way. Again, I like turn down look. Jason
