Engine Bay SHE RUNS!!!
OK Guys I finished hooking up everything this morning. Fired it at 11:08 little turned it over a couple times a little shot of starting fluid and she fired right up. Right to idle at 750rpm. 60psi oil pressure. Had a slight knock under the driver side valve cover. After a while we figured out it was the valve cover getting rubbed. I need thicker valve cover gaskets. undid the vaccuum advance plugged it and dialed it in to 10 degrees. Runs PERFECT. No leaks no runs no errors. Gotta finish covering the wiring and thats it fenders go on tomorrow.
I just want to say thanks to all of you. I never would have had the guts to attempt this overhaul. It is from all of your knowledge that I was able to pull this off. Thanks again, Tony |

Did you bring it right up to 2500-3000 rpm to break in the cam for about 20 to 30 minutes? I'm not sure of your engine combo, but you must break in a new flat tappet cam. You never let it idle or you will kill it.
